Brad's rest is not an issue: Modi

Indian Premier League
DURBAN: There are rumours about the Kolkata Knight Riders' team member Brad Hodge was given a rest due to match-fixing. Indian Premier League commissioner Lalit Modi didn't took the news as a big issue. He told a news channel that so far there was not a problem. The League is following strict guidelines. It may be recalled that in a match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders, in-form Australian Brad Hodge was not included in the last eleven. He was seen in the hospitality area instead of the players dug out.

Modi termed it quite ok as he didn't saw anything wrong with it. He said that he was happy that Brad went and spare sometime with his family in the box. In that tie, which was called fixed, Knight Riders skipper Brendon McCullum led from the front to guide the side to their tournament-best score of 172 which they could not defend as their opponents from Bangalore went on to win it by six wickets.
