Monica Seles stabbed and so was her career

The former world no.1 professional tennis player and at present a member of international hall of fame. By birth a Yugoslavian she has many honors of winning the grand slam titles. She was a shining star till the last when she was stabbed in 1993 by one of the German spectator. At the age of six she started playing tennis with her father, winning her first tournament at the age of nine, and started playing professionally at the age of 14. And in her first career year she finished sixth. She won her first grand slam against Steffi graf, the former world number 1.
From the starting month of the year 1991 till the end of February 1993, seles won nearly 22 titles and reached in the finals of nearly 33 grand slams, all out of the total 34 she played. At the peak of her career in the ongoing year 1993 when she just defeated Steffi Graf in the finals of Australian Open she was just enjoying her success, but at the same time all of a sudden came a change in her life which destructed nearly everything.
This was the most amazing incident on the tennis court on 30th of April of this very same year when one of the agitated fan of Steffi Graf stabbed her at her back at the ongoing match between her and Magdelena Maleeva. Monica Seles was hurt between her shoulders and was made to be admit in hospital. Her physical injuries were repaired with in a period of time but the impact of the event on her mind was ever lasting. Which not only demoralized her but also created a hippoc in her mind. After two years Monica again started her game showed her best performances also but never was been able to reach to her peak.
